fans have more reason to rejoice – has just announced Ugly Betty is heading to Netflix.

The beloved fish-out-of-water show follows America’s Betty Saurez, a writer without any style who begins working at the high-fashion magazine Mode in .

cancelled after four seasons in 2010, and has been made available on various platforms in the years since, including Hulu.

But now viewers will be able to binge all four seasons on Netflix.

The streamer announced the series would be available on their platform Tuesday, August 1.

Ugly Betty also starred Vanessa Williams as Mode creative director Willhelmina Slater and Michael Urie and Becki Newton as Betty’s gossipy co-workers, Marc St.James and Amanda Tanen. It is based on the Colombian telenovela Yo soy Betty, la fea, Ugly. 

During it’s run, the series received critical acclaim, and America earned an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Award for her work in the series.

Vanessa was also nominated three times for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work in Ugly Betty.

It comes amid the smash success of America’s latest film, the wildly popular Barbie.

America plays Gloria, a mother who enters Barbieland with her teenage daughter after meeting the doll (played by Margot Robbie) in the real world.

The film has been a hit with critics and audiences alike and could join an elite club of billion dollar movies after a $360million opening weekend.

Barbie beat its initial estimate of $155million with its domestic total rising to $162million following its release on July 21 – with its ticket sales marking the biggest opening weekend of the year, beating The Super Mario Bros.Movie which pulled in $146 million.

Barbie has also taken in $194.3million worldwide – making its current worldwide total $356.3million.

Now industry insiders are predicting Barbie may cross the billion dollar mark globally – with the movie tipped to make at least $800million during its theatrical run.

Barbie is also the biggest debut ever for a film directed by a woman (Greta Gerwig), overtaking Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s 2019 blockbuster Captain Marvel ($153 million), reports
