Fully vaccinated travellers from the EU/EFTA and the US can purchase Day 2 test to travel to the England without having to quarantine on entering England. The arrivals will not have to take a day 8 test or self-isolate. Any positive results from the day 2 test will be genome sequenced to continue to manage the risk from importing variants. A full vaccination means 14 days have passed since your final dose of the vaccine programme. The vaccines need to be, for the US, FDA approved. For the EU/EFTA, the vaccines must be EMA approved, or Swiss equivalent. Children under the age of 18 who are ordinarily resident in the qualifying countries will not have to isolate when arriving in England. Children aged 5 to 10 will only need to do a day 2 PCR and 11 to 18 year olds will need to take both a pre-departure test and a day 2 PCR – as is the case for arrivals from green list countries. Children aged 4 and under will continue to be exempt from any travel testing
